First Year Seminars

First Year Seminars are a unique small classroom experience, often under 20 students per course, available only to students in their first year of study. Each seminar is taught by a faculty member and focuses on a unique and interdisciplinary topic related to politics, civil engagement, social justice, health, science, sport and much more. These courses are very engaging and student focused. Many have involved projects that involve the Guelph community and are interactive in nature. Prepare to get involved and make some last connections with other students and faculty.  For more information on previous offering and topics for the upcoming year see the first year seminar website.  The first year seminar courses can be used to fulfill an arts and social science elective within the B.Sc. degree.
